These Gyros are a perfect addition to any family meal plan since even the kids will love them!  You reduce the amount of red meat you are eating by mixing ground beef with ground turkey.  Because of this mix, they have the perfect balance of flavor.

I am in love with Mediterranean style foods and cooking!  Mediterranean cooking uses a lot of herbs and spices.  This recipe includes garlic and oregano for its main flavors.  There are so many benefits to eating this way!  One of the major benefits is heart health.  The Mediterranean diet involves eating load of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.  It also emphasizes healthy fats like olive oil and nuts.  Lastly, it encourages you to enjoy meals with family and friends!  This is probably my favorite aspect of this way of eating–I just love sharing good food with food friends and family!
