Ingredients
  

  • 1 Lb. Lean Ground Chicken
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup Bread Crumbs
  • 1 1/2 tsp Oregano
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 6 Whole Grain Pitas
  • 6 Green Lettuce Leaves
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Fresh Tomatoes
  • 1 cup Sliced Cucumbers
  • Onion Slices
  • 3/4 cup Feta Cheese
  • 1 cup Plain Greek Yogurt (2%)
  • 1/3 cup Finely Chopped Cucumber
  • 2 Tbsp Finely Chopped White Onion
  • 1 clove Minced Garlic
  • 1 tsp Honey

Instructions
 

  • Mix ground chicken, egg, bread crumbs, oregano, garlic, onion and salt in a medium bowl with your hands.  Form into 6 patties.
  • Grill patties at 350 F for 5 minutes on each side or until internal temp is 160 F. You can also pan fry on medium high for about 5 minutes on each side or until internal temp is 160 F.
  • While patties are cooking, in a small bowl, mix together Greek yogurt, chopped cucumber, chopped onion, garlic, and honey for sauce.
  • To assemble pitas: Slice patties into 3 slices and arrange in pita.  Fill with lettuce,cucumber, tomato, onion, and feta.  Top with sauce.  Enjoy!
