Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

These cookies are the best I have ever tasted!

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup White Sugar
  • 3/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Butter, softened
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 1/4 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Quick or Old-Fashioned Oats
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips

Method
 

  1. 1. In a large mixing bowl, mix white sugar, brown sugar and butter on medium speed until well mixed.
  2. Add the egg and vanilla and continue mixing until well combined.
  3. In a separate medium size bowl, stir together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, oats, and chocolate chips. 
  4. Keep the mixer on medium-low speed and gradually add the flour mixture to the sugar and butter mixture. Continue mixing until all of the flour is incorporated.
  5. Form the dough into small balls.  The dough should be slightly crumbly, but should mold together when you make your balls. Place balls onto an un-greased cookie sheet.
  6. Bake at 350 F for 8-10 minutes.  Convection: 325 F for 8 minutes.
